Coke Chase 2013: Coca-Cola Advertisement is Considered Racist

Group of Arab-American citizens calling themselves the Committee of Arab-American Anti-Discrimination (ADC) has strongly criticized Coca-Cola superbowl ad, as it is considered discriminatory and racist. This group requires advertising soda was replaced before the air on CBS on Sunday tomorrow and viewed more than 100 million Americans.

In the advertising piece entitled "Coke Chase 2013", the group described some of the Las Vegas entertainer girls, cowboys, robbers and Arab traveler competing to be able to get a large bottle of Coca-Cola in the desert.

Director of Legal and Policy Committee of the American-Arab Anti Discrimination, Abed Ayoub, too, questioned the message is trying to be delivered by Coca-Cola through the ad.

A spokeswoman for Coca-Cola, Lauren Thompson denied the ads contain elements of discrimination and racism. According to him, the character in the ad describes consumers who come from various backgrounds.

"Coca-Cola is a brand inclusive consumed by various groups. We illustrate the importance of such pleasure and refreshment, happiness, inspiration and optimism in all the promotion we do," he said giving information via email.
