Afghan Intelligence Chief Escapes of Death

Afghan intelligence chief, Asadullah Khalid was injured in a grenade attack in Kabul. "Afghan intelligence chief survived the cowardly terrorists in the city of Kabul," the National Directorate of Security (NDS).

Witnesses heard an explosion. Police said Khalid was injured in the attack. Sources from the security forces called Khalid was severely injured and had to be rushed to the hospital to get a blood transfusion.

So far no group has claimed responsibility for a grenade attack this. However, the Taliban who want to overthrow the government of Hamid Karzai is usually instantly becomes the prime suspect.

Asadullah was appointed as Head of NDS in August by Preiden Hamid Karzai. The appointment was subsequently approved by parliament despite human rights organization western countries opposed this appointment because Asadullah suspect involved torture prisoners.

NDS plays an important role in the war against the Taliban, which was dropped by the U.S. invasion in 2001 for harboring al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden who was held responsible for the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington DC.
