Five days after the launch, 19 November 1969, Intrepid capsule that carried a crew of Apollo 12 landed on the Moon in a region, known as the Ocean of Storms. Five hours later, Conrad and Bean astonort a walk on the lunar surface.
The astronauts also took a number of samples of the lunar surface and examine the condition of the capsule unmanned Surveyor 3, which had landed on the Moon in 1967. On 24 November 1969, Apollo 12 finally made it back to Earth.
