Giant Tsunami Clouds in Alabama

Giant Tsunami clouds

The next phenomenon occurred in Alabama, United States. Birmingham city surrounded by a cloud shaped like a tsunami wave rolling. According to experts, the wave is called the wave "Kelvin Helmholtz" that can happen in the sky or in the ocean. This type of turbulence always forms when a layer or liquid hurtle over a thick layer of slower moving so dragging its surface.

According to Chris Walcek, a meteorologist at the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center of the State University of New York at Albany, fast-moving wind in the sky can drag peak thick clouds moving slowly beneath the same way.

Other possible causes of this phenomenon because of the cold cloud layer above the slow moving layer of warm air that is moving faster.
