A campaigner Mitt Romney said that race was one factor that led to former Secretary of State Colin Powell endorsed President Barack Obama. Former New Hampshire governor John Sununu told CNN that Powell endorses Obama, but Powell is a retired four-star general and a Republican who served as a cabinet minister in the Bush.

"Frankly, when you look at Colin Powell, you will wonder, if the support was based on mere issue, or he has a different reason to vote for Obama," said Sununu told CNN host Piers Morgan
