20 People Killed in Explosion in Afghanistan

The series of roadside bombs and suicide bombings killed 20 people in attacks - Afghanistan. The death toll also occur due to armed clashes between insurgents and Afghan security forces that have reduced the periods of the battle along with the arrival of cold weather in the country is mountainous.

In one attack, 10 civilians, including a child and four men, were killed when their vehicle ran over a land mine in Helmand province, southern Afghanistan. Roadside bomb blast that also occurred on Thursday, killing two boys in Zabul province, southern Afghanistan. Provincial deputy chief Gulam Gilani Farahi said the bomb may have been placed by the rebels targeting police officers on patrol in the area.

Insurgents stepped up attacks targeting Afghan officials and security forces are now pulled ahead of the withdrawal of foreign troops NATO in 2014.
