Syrian refugees clash with Jordanian police, 26 Injured


AMMAN - Syrian refugees who are in camps Zaatari police clashed with Jordan. The refugees are angry demanding better living conditions in refugee camps.

"Some 150 refugees threw stones at security forces. They burn the tent and attacked a police charity Jordan in charge of refugee camps and hospitals," said one police officer told The Associated Press, Tuesday (09/25/2012 ).

"26 police officers were injured in the violence," said the police officer.

A spokesman for the charity office Zayed Hammad said approximately 1000 refugees involved in the protest.

One refugee Abu Nawras spoke related protests launched his colleagues. "Police fired tear gas to disperse protests. They rallied demanding improved living conditions in refugee affairs both food and education for their children," said Nawras.

Zaatari shelter located on the Jordanian border with Syria is now home to 32 thousand Syrian refugees who fled the country due to incessant violence since March 2011.
